Well, why quibble about money, when I am giving my family the joy and
pleasure of visiting my Motherland ? I always give my frequent-flyer bonus
to our daughters and let them enjoy something on their own.

Like I've said some time ago, "People eat to live, but we Chinese live
to eat". I have been treated to some of the most delicious meals in Beijing,
and here's a link to what our elder daughter found interesting - prawns
flambé: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5MXEqhCefWQ .

Oh, but there are ! Right at the beginning of the shopping street Wang
FuJing is a huge McDonald's, and there are PizzaHuts all over the place.
Last time we were there, the waiters and waitresses at the PizzaHuts were
wearing all sorts of witch costumes in tune to Halloween - very un-Chinese,
but great fun in the land of the "oppressed people".
