China under Mao was a monster, I won't call today's China "monster".
But today's China does not respect human rights, that’s fact.

Human rights or god given rights are just words by themselves. If you
think China policy had made the Chinese people lesser humans, please
be specific.
In general, I would say poverty is the root of most evils. And small
per capita resource the toot of poverty.

People in China can not express their opinion *freely*, that's because
CCP does not respect human rights.

You are not respecting yourself if you answer questions in a knee jerk
reflex fashion. Why don't you think through your anawer and tell us
your actually mean. For example, how free is free? Or is more...

LT doesn't like it when people are direct because it's harder for him
to use subtle bullshit tactics to obscure the truth.
That's just another reason why LT Lee's commentary in this NG is such
a joke.

LT Lee and other pro-CCP netters know damn well that USA, Taiwan...
are much better than China in terms of human rights record, free
speech, freedom of the press, freedom of religion…in short, free and
wealthy society. There is no way to defend China in those areas, there
is no need to feel "guilt" because it's simply not their faults, and
there's no need to put themselves in such defensive mode. If they can
understand it, they will behave better but not like angry beast, then
they can have more healthy attitude to think how to make China better.
It’s really up to them.

But Taiwanese have to thank Jiang Jing Guo. It was during his rule that
Taiwan, in a stable political situation, created favourite conditions for
economic development.

Totally agreed! That's why CCK has been regarded as the best President
last 50 years by Taiwanese. Here's poll result back several years ago:
1. CCK
2. CKS
3. LTH
And CCK is one of best weapons for KMT to run election, Taiwan's
economic miracle during CCK's rule is often mentioned in KMT's
election campaign. CCK and LKY are quite alike.
