Wow, heavily subsidized public housing HDB flats selling for $700K per unit

The Singapore Government has a lion heart for their fellow citizens and PR.
They are selling their heavily subsidized public housing HDB pigeon hole
flats for about $700K which they normally clean off whatever CPF savings
those buyers have and to get a private loan from a Bank and pay monthly
installment throughout their lives.

Taiwan's higher education, what a mess!!!

Author: abianchen

Since Taiwan's educational reform a decade ago, now Taiwan has 150
colleges and universities (yes, 150!!!). This year, even your entrance
exam score is 0 (yes, Z-E-R-O) you can still go to college. That
means, as long as you take entrance exam and even you dont write
anything on the test, you can still go to college, so retarded person
or 3 yo kid all can go to college, what a mess!!!

  Medical insurance clause - Help

Author: Kawang
Date: Jul 20, 2008 00:52

I have a medical insurance policy bought 20 years ago.

A clause in the Definitions stated that:

PERSONS ELIGIBLE TO BECOME "INSURED PERSON" ARE (a) THE INSURED (b)
THE INSURED'S PARENTS (c) THE INSURED'S SPOUSE AND (d) THE INSURED'S
UNMARRIED CHILDREN WHO ARE BETWEEN THE AGES OF 15 DAYS 19 YEARS AND
IN
THE CASE OF CHILDREN PURSUING EDUCATION AS FULL-TIME STUDENTS, UP TO
AGE 25.

and a clause in the General Provisions stated that:

CESSATION OF COVERAGE
An Insured person shall cease to be covered under this policy on the
following events whichever is the earliest:-
(1) Attainment of age 65
(2) Exhaustion of the Maximum Lifetime Benefit.

I have the impression that ALL names listed in the policy, including
my children whose ages are between 15 days and 19 years at the time
taken up this policy, are covered under this policy up to the age of
65 years so long the policy is inforce.

  different kinds of cultures............

Author: Damned-Virus-Data Miner providers

Hello to all,
Western, Nigerians, Koreans, Japanese etc are all having different
kind of theior own cultures and there is aneed for us to give them
some respect (even though some might not like it) and also to akowlege
that there are such other cultures that are available in this world.
We just cannot because of personal problems with certain groups of
people to gauge the whole culture as a group of bad thing as there are
many others whom are better off then these group of people. What is
needed to say here is equality to all cultures plays a part in our
lives...........

baldeagle and LT Lee will praise about the article and how Bill Moore
will respond...
