I am curious...I went to get my hair cut recently at a Hmong shop and
over heard several conversations about the new trend of getting a
bride or groom from Laos or Thailand. Is this really a trend in the
Hmong community? There were photo albums of the new bride and groom
showing much love as well!

brother, your comment is quite sexist and demeaning, what's worse than
communist lao and thailand exploiting our fellow hmong are hmong
americans with mental health issues exploiting the less fortunate
hmong in other parts of the world. The hmong americans who exploit
their own people are diseased in the mind and weak on the inside and
in order to feel strong and powerful, they exploit the weaker,
uneducated and in poverty. these expliotations are the practices of
the past, when hmong warlords and clan chiefs exploit their own people
through taxation and murder, etc... in order to rise above the
discriminations of the whites, black, and other competing asian, we
must clean our own house.
there are room at the table for hmong men and women to unite for a
better future for the hmong, to exploit the hmong women, poor and
uneducated does not build bridge, does not connect us to the core
essence of being hmong. hmong women in their own right have earn their
place at the table, for hmong men does not like it when thai, lao,
white or black people discriminate aganist hmong men either.
