Will Dang Vang's plan work?

Date: Jul 8, 2007 20:49

Colleagues,

So far the discussions on VP have focused exclusively on the grand
jury indictment of VP and his colleagues and the implications of the
case.

Somehow, the plot itself has been ignored. I would like my colleagues
here to think about the operational plan that Dang Vang had created
for the plot. Please ask yourself whether such plan has any chance at
success?

If it does, then why?

If it does not, then why not?

Considering some well-educated people were involved in this plot, what
do you think was their goal?

Please give your best shot. Le's have an intelligent discussion here.

Thanks,

Teev

Teev,

I don't think Dang Vang's plan will work. To me, it's only Kamikaze
(suicidal mission with no return). Where is his administration chart,
who are the politburo/cabinet members/ministry, where are they from,
who will inaugurate them, if succeed? One cannot just demolished
everything and the new adminstration/regime will spring up the next
day. War will insue (look at Iraq now. It's planned from the highest
military of the nation and still fail).

It's only a fantasy.

Teev,
If I may compare this to Iraq, there were those in the
administration who assumed that once Sadaam was taken out, Iraq would
be free. They didn't consider the internecine conflict, terrorism,...

hrmm i beg the differ. i am no expert but i think dang's plan will
work and would have worked. now i am not into war and people dying,
but let's have a war game... military arms does this all the time
where they play military game.

soon as they excute the plan, chances are the commie hmong/lao who are
tired of the same old corruptions will realize this is their chance
for independent.

younger commie lao and hmong will see this as a chance for them to
overthrow the old leaders and start a new open gov't with the freedom
fighters.

oppressed people will ramsack the old leader's palace and fancy home.
minority laotian will revolt. students will dance in the street. hmong
chaofa will come from the mountain. commie hmong from china and
vietnam will come dance in laos.

vietnam will intervene to save the old leaders and their hold on laos
- but china will intervene on top of that and support the new
government base on condition that the new government does not work
with the u.s.
