Another new year, Hmong keep wondering where will all the money go?
Some say the money are gone to the elite's pockets. No one knows for
sure since everything is in cash and tax free and the state is too busy
to disgrace anymore hmong.

You know how most hmong consumers don't spend their money on hmong
businesses, instead they spend their money on the cambodian, lao, and
vietnamese businesses? this thought occur to me that lao family doesn't
spend money on the community either.

wish list for 2007:

1. lao family buy some land for a Hmong sports field with the new year
and sport festival money.
2. lao family fix up the lao family building (especially the
bathrooms).
3. lao family offer more scholarships
4. more hmong buy from hmong businesses
5. Hmong inventor create Alien technology jet propulsion system (which
allow us to travel through space and wormholes).
6. Hmong colonize an earthlike planet in another galaxy, live in peace
and prosperity.

Just yesterday, I met two business Hmong men at a local Hmong Food
Store; they discussed with the question, as why Hmong consumers don't

people would rather go to Cambodian, Lao, Vietnamese businesses. I
told them that as businessperson, we need to sit down together, at
least once a month or quarter, and re-invent a new method and marketing
strategy to overcome Hmong fear, but we the business people would need
to do more, such as subsidize to revitalize the community and gain
their trusts.

One businessman said that he needed not worry anything about Hmong
people, because money speaks louder in men's world. He does not wish
to care further and has left the Hmong community and race. If he...

I live in St. Paul and do most of my grocery shopping at Golden Harvest
on Maryland Avenue on the east side of the City.

The owners are very respectful; the cashiers are cute; and the produce
are reasonably priced. (Sometimes even better than Sam's Club!)

But I buy my rice at the Cambodia store...because Golden Harvest no
longer stocks Kokuho Extra Fancy short grain rice (sushi rice).
