a crisp $20 or you could just head back to Thailand. That's enough
for a night at the local Thai Go-Go bar. One year I tried to cash my
traveler's check, $500 in Laos. I didn't know about bribing then and
I didn't bribe the Lao bank teller, she won't cash my traveler's
check. I had enough to get back to Thailand. That night I blew off
all $500 in Thailand because my plane was leaving the next day. Good
for the Thai economy.
