that's not credible. First of all, he's been encouraging people to

himself."

The real issue, Thoj said, was the legacy of war and how it is
continuing to divide the community. Many Hmong-Americans are confused
about how to perceive Vang Pao, he said, because there hasn't been a
true dialogue about the war in the 30 years since it ended.

He is entitled to his opinion. Each and everyone of you have that
same rights. The best thing for everyone right now is to keep a cool
head and let the justice systems play its roles. It is up to justice
to prevail, whether guilty or not- guilty. It's up to the juries.
What we must all be concern with is ..making sure that the due process
is fair and that we can all live with it,
I believed that all of the 11 people that were charged happen to have
some of the very best attorneys on their side. To me, this kind of
harsh reaction among the people through out the US need to stop and we
should put a lid on it, for negative remarks does not heal anyone's
anger, it is the negative behaviors we as Hmong sometime have that is ...

We must remember that during the demostration "Democracy and freedom"
were talked about time and time again. It have been stated many times
that VP himself is a champion of Democracy and Freedoms. well this
post is the test of whether "Democracy and Freedom" are really that
important to US as a people. The minute a Hmong person does not go
along with the masses everyone wants him to lose his job. That goes
against the principals of Democracy and freedom that VP wants so much
for his people. Essentially it is a stifle of Democracy and Freedom.

What we should do here is debate what was said, not demonize Va-Megn
who brought out what other might want to say but are afraid to say it,
or it could just be him opinion, which he is entitled to.

If you disagreed with the statement then we need you counter
statements.

Facts like what? What proof can you show?

Or are you simply going to reiterate anecdotes and how you heard from
someone who heard from someone or that "Hmong people" know this and
Hmong people know that but find yourself short of facts and GUILTY of
the same "lies" with which you deride those who you think support
General Vang Pao?

As for myself, you can search Google newsgroup for "Frank Lis" and
find through my posts through the years that I am hardly a "supporter"
of the General (nor of Dr. Yang Dao for that matter).

However, it is fair to point out Va-Megn's inconsistency
(hypocrisy?). Someone who seeks and lives in the limelight like him
cannot rise in objection to people like Tom Barnard (and mainstream
community) deriding the Hmong and then turn around to do the same
thing; spewing half-truths and making unsubstantiated statements
without expecting criticism.
