U.S. Has Highest Levels of Illegal Drug Use

According to a new survey the USA has highest level of illegal cocaine
and cannabis use in the world despite its touch punitive drug
policies.

I was surprised that we are out in front on cocaine and marijuana use
as we have spent billion on the drug war and made no progress at all.
Drugs are still rampant in schools, prisons and society in general.

When I was cleanig a high school which was only 3 years ago, alcohol
was harder for the students to obtain than any of the popular illicit
substances. Just to reiterate, they could have got a hold of meth and
marijuana easier than they could have got some beer.

I had cleaned the left over illicit substances in the restroom and
locker.

This spring, I have volunteered with our Catholic church to work for
the American youth to find shelters, foster parents and sometimes feed
them. I have found out that many of them have addicted to meth and
marijuana. I saw boys and girls smoked those illicit substances like
crazy.

They asked you for money and they had broken to people car and house
to steal something to feed their harbits.

MS, You are right.

America is addicted to drug.

It's an addiction that threatens our economy, culture, education and
our national security. It touches every part of our daily lives and
ties our hands as a nation and a people.

A have two friends who used to work for our domestic automakers in
your states, and they told me twenty years ago that during the break-
time, they saw hundred of people went to their lockers and restroom to
smoke marijuana to relax their bodies and minds from the hard physical
works.

Yajy,

This is a nation of free enterprise, where the principle of supply and
demand rules supreme. In free enterprise, risk is a part of the game.
Punishment is a risk factor. When the gain is perceived as being worth
the risk or punishment, supply will always finds its way to meet
demand. If there is no demand, the supply side will create demand
through marketing. Being enterprising is an essential quality in free
enterprise. The commerce of banned products is no different from
legitimate ones, except the degree of the challenge.
