Oh how this brings back memories. I had a “quaib dib” when I was about
five years old in Long Cheng. I was given to me by my uncle Lee Vue. I
carried that rooster with me everywhere. He was the most beautiful bird I
have ever seen. I remember being awed by his florescent red and purple
colors shimmering in the sun. The sight is still fresh in my head. I
remember how I would catch grass hoppers and feed it him until his crop
would bulge out. It seems like it was just yesterday. Yong, please
protect the jungle in Laos so that these national symbols will remained
free for ever.
