Laos as a Tourist Destination.

Is it sustainable?
What does it have that no others have?
Does it have pristine breaches?
Does it have natural wonders of the world?
Is it conveniently located?

Laos is a beautiful place; but it has nothing special to continually draw
the tourists once the glitters are gone. Those of you who have traveled
extensively will know what I’m talking about.

Laos is in the news because it is a “novelty”; a place, in theory,
where tourists can go without running into other tourists. And as I type,
this is becoming a rarity … go to Laung Prabang and you’ll see more
tourists then monks. Take an eco-tour and you’ll run into groups of
eco-tourists. Like a beauty queen, Laos needs to quickly cash in the
prize because younger more beautiful girls are nipping at her heels.

Eco-tour is not where the money is at. Eco-tourists travel on the cheap
… they take pride in living cheaply. Staying in hostels and camp in the
woods, eating and spending minimally with the natives. When this sector
matures, what will Laos turn to?

Yet another excellent observation presented for discussion. Bottom-
line is...LAOS has and will always be on the bottom of the pit hole.
Let’s admit it, the picture is clearly stated in that the thugs and
whores in Vientiane has no clue what it mean to be a self-sufficient,
self-sustainable nation. The nation runs on others' generosity, that's
it! Once the "welfare" checks stop coming in...The thugs and whores
would do anything to sell off the nation's natural resources as they
are currently doing now as we speak. It has NO manufactures, no
banking industries, no commercial/private business enterprises, no
working laws... AND NO trained professional human resources which play
a critical role as the nation's primary backbone. NOTHING!!!

Here's what Laos currently and proudly offers....CHEAP SEX, CHEAP
labor, and CHEAP drugs! Did I miss anything else?
