Let me entertain SCH as a devil advocate on McCain VP pick.

Like many other I’ve have logically predicted a woman VP (Senator
Hutchison from Texas) for McCain if Obama ever dishes Hillary.
But this pick of the Alaska Governor is even more unorthodox and I
welcome the pick.
Regardless of the motive, it is an effective political move. First,
knock out Obama from the spot light, second shock and awe
Obama team and cripple them to respond effectively and finally aim to
energize the real conservative base.
The 3 objectives have been met. They were knock out of the spot light,
they had nothing on the book and made the very
first mistake by putting down the small people in small towns across
the USA mainly the battle states. These small people
and town issues will come back to hunt Obama as they already did
recently.
The pro life, pro gun, catholic, and hardcore conservative (+
eventually a small strayed voters from the Clinton camp)
are now excited! In a tide race, this coup from the old man may make
the difference.

Since the last 3 days I’ve not heard any effective arguments from the
political experts, liberal or conservative,
to provide an answer to the most critical theme: ‘ Palin has no
experience and not ready to be president if needed”.

Here is how I would address this issue:
Question:

The General public is not sure if you qualify for this VP job, what is
your take on this?
Answer:

Well, I believe that I am absolutely qualified for this job mainly due
to my executive experience during my 8 years as public
servant career. Alaska is not a third world country where a governor
is less important that any other states.
This is lawful land and one of the most important states of the Union.
My decisions affect the lower states.
I was elected to do the top job, I cleaned it up from corruption and
in fact my state is the pivotal state that will dictate the change in
the next century. Two main issues that concern our nation are energy
and strategic location to fence threat from the East.
I am running for VP and my executive experience exceeds my opponent’s
experience and above all surpasses the experience
of the democrats presidential nominee that is the #1 spot.
To all my fellow American voters, I encourage you to think that if you
believe that I am not qualified for this position then you
shouldn’t believe that barrack Obama is qualified for this most
important job because you will have a very
inexperienced president at day 1 in the oval office. In the worst case
I’ll better equipped to serve as president
In day 2.

This answer will limit arguments portraying her inexperience status
and yet disapproving her to serve as #2, and if needed
She can serve as #1 compared to the #1 of the opponent. At the same
time, she doesn’t blow her horn either. Give to the public
what is on the table only! Furthermore it also elevates her
intellectual status even higher and will even boost the excitement
among the undecided voters. In every way it is also respectful and
graceful as a political coup that destroys the opponent arguments
without insulting them. This would show the public a leadership
character. So in summary, point out the substance and seek the
approval form the public instead of whining at them about the opponent
playing dirty politics and other biased liberal media.

In the mean time the pregnancy issue of the teenager daughter is
indeed a distraction and will cause damage to a certain
extend but at the end will be manageable. The candidates agreed not to
take and capitalized on their children because they
are all vulnerable especially the Biden family.
The criticism of the media although cruel is fair. Public figures at
high level will have to give some.
The excessive smearing will also work in favor of Palin when engaging
into the VP debate where she faces an old timer and ineffective
politician.
Indeed he also carried heavy baggage too. If he pushed too much his
unfit and tainted character will also be revealed.
When it comes to foreign policy and national security she may surprise
most people that she is more experienced that both
Obama and Biden. Her state, Alaska, is the first defensive line of any
threat from the East. As a commander in chief of that
state she have hold more secret briefings and eventually will unleash
during the debate.

However the burden is now resting on her shoulder. How well will she
persuade the American public? I believe that the delay
of the RNC works out in her favor by giving her more time to better
prepare for the big day. It creates the suspense and holds
the curiosity of the people. Now they must tune in to discover this
lady.

The lame duck team is out of the picture partly due the hurricane
Gustav.
The old man, a little bit out of touch, will hold his ground. If
Palin, after primarily absorbing a VP crash course from a team of
experts
in the next few days and weeks (Obama relies on 300 of them ruining
around him) and fully understand the republicans theme then
she will successfully promoting herself and finally she will match
the attack dog in foreign affair and national security and defense.

Based on her initial appearance on stage, this woman, a maverick
claimed by many, seems to have what it takes to be VP.
I think she possesses the practical experience and required diplomatic
tools, the freshness of “change” that Obama tried so hard
to promote and yet unable to capitalize. She will get even if not
dominate both Biden and even Obama platform.
It will be process Vs substance, pitching sales Vs achieving result or
quantity Vs quality and of course substance, achieving result
and quality belongs to the republican VP. Odd enough suddenly, the old
man, hold the mantra of “change”!

The democrats were supposed to lead by double digit by now and yet the
stall, and this week the spot light shifts to
the republicans. The game just has begun….
