Is Hmong ready to change it past and move on into the future?

"One must be prepared to abandon everything it does to survive in the
future." -Peter Drucker

In your opinion, what would be something that you strongly believes
Hmong people is ready to leave behind/throw it out of our culture
practice to move on into the 21st Century (the sake of our children
and their the future)?

I know and believe without any doubt that many of you contributor
writers to SCH are well educated and highly intellectual. I believe
you will share you honest and rational opinion in regard to this
topic.

Thanks

For sure the Hmong children in the US (anyone under 35) are ready to
abandon LAOS or more accurately already abandon Laos. I guaranteed
you anyone who came to this country as a little kid, grows up here
will never go back to Laos to invest, live, maybe just to visit. So
the answer to your question is yes we have already abandon Laos and
are moving towards the future.

Change is not necessarily a requisite for survival. As such, it is
not outright necessary that Hmong change anything in particular.

LOMTED and npoj yaig SCHlers,

We don't throw out...we simply leave them behind for various reasons:
unusefulness, timing, cost, understanding/meaning/appreciation etc.
It's a process of elimination and as progress made, new addition will
be added onto it...we leave some and bring in new one...funeral,
wedding, birthday and pe tsiab (thanksgiving ritual) have already been
modified and adopted regardless of whether one is a Christian or
traditional's...

Ua tsaug = Thanks!
Ua koj tsaug = Thank you!
Ua meb/neb tsaug = Thank you, you two!
Ua mej/nej tsaug = Thank you all!
