nyob zoo ywj pheej,

ua koj tsaug koj tuaj nrog peb tham thiab. vam thiab cia siab tias koj
yuav tuaj koom peb sib tham (discuss) sib cav (debate/argue) kom peb
hmoob txoj kev xav (thinking) kev sib hlub (humanity) loj hlob zuj zus
mus ntxiv.

ntawm no, yog ib qho transcription txog koj cov lus 8/11/2008. this is
a direct transcription of your words in hmong using RPA from your
8/11/2008 show during the segment from 10:18 to 10:59 (10 minutes 18
seconds to 10 minutes 59 seconds).

keeb kwm hais tias lub caij nyoog huab tais vwj paj yias lawv sawv tua
suav, xyoo 1795 txog 1806 mas hmoob cov phom loj tseem zoo thaib tua
mus deb tshaj li suav cov. tab si yog vim li cas peb thiaj poob qab
lawm? qhov ib, vim peb swb rog, tsis muaj nom muaj tswv tsis muaj teb
muaj chaws, peb thiaj ua tsis tau li lub siab nyiam. qhov ob, thiab
qhov tseem ceeb tshaj, kuj yog vim peb hmoob txog kev ntseeg es yuav
ua raws daim qhov qub xwb tsis pub hloov, tsis pub txuas tshiab ntxiv
li. qhov no, yog txog kev ntseeg uas ua rau peb hmoob poob qab.

this is the best i can do with an english translation.

history has said during the time when emperor vue pay yeah rose to
fight the chinese, from 1795 to 1806, the large hmong guns (cannons?)
were better and had longer firing range than the chinese guns. but,
why did we fall behind? firstly, on why we lost the war, because we
had no government or country, that is why we could not do what we
wanted. secondly, and the
most important point, is also because of our belief in doing things
with strict adherence to the old ways without any leeway for change,
and to never allow anything new to be produced. this is the belief
that caused us to fall behind.

as you can see, you purported 2 reasons why the hmong lost to the
chinese. among one of those reasons is that we had no government (nom
tswv) and country (teb chaws). what is contradicting to me is that if
wu ba.yue was as you claimed, an emperor, do you mean to say that he
had no government in place or no country? i don't see how many
reasonable person could think otherwise and not easily see the
contradiction in your words.

in the context of what you were saying, you said there was a hmong
emperor named wu ba.yue and during his rise against the chinese, had
better gun technology, however, one of the reason why the hmong lost
the war is because they had no government or country.

you should be more careful in what you said. these are not my
criticism of you, but merely to underscore the contradictions in what
you say. i think you undone what you did better than any criticism
that i may have had.

so, you are saying "good people" will understand you very well and
"critics don't understand"? how can this be? how can you judge us
based on whether we agreed with you or understood you? i don't think
anyone "txhob txwm xawb" deliberately try to put your radio down or
your faction of hmong thoughts down. this is just a discussion forum,
and we, well, "discuss". so, don't take it too personal.

a lot of things you guys say i am in disagreement with, but i resonate
well with your charismatic concern for hmong people. i have supported
moj them when you came to fresno, and enjoyed talking very much with
you. that was too long ago; that year, you had your booth facing the
west side at fresno fair ground. so no matter, what, kuv yeej tau
ntsib koj ib nyuag zaug ib nyuag pliag thiab. when i make a visit to
MN, you are one of the individuals i'd be so interested to meet. no
matter what happens, i don't think anyone can take away the
breakthrough research in ancient hmong history you have made.
