What do you think? I agree with the comparision of Hmong Guyane and
Hmong Maslikas also think Guyane would be an ideal place for SCHers
who are looking for a retirement community...Thailand and Laos are
good but the potential political upheaval in Laos and the potential
crimes in Thailand would make Guyane a more appealing and safer
option.

2 two cents. don't you agree, i don't think that anything can beat the
heartland of amerika because all those young ladies were looking
forward for one of the groom in the States can sposor her here.

when one wants to make an comparison as this, one should look onto all
the collective data from young to old, and not just the OG, their life
styles b4 and now. i'll say more when i get home n have the time to
read this whole article.

I don't want to be negative but according to state department Guyane
is not that safe either for people to travel there.

http://travel.state.gov/travel/cis_pa_tw/cis/cis_1133.html

I met two Hmong Missionaries to Guyane; Xf. Tswj Xeem Lis and Xf. Vam
Choj Lis from the states. Vam Choj had been in Guyane for six years
and Tswj Xeem for three years. They said the Hmong people there are
very nice and they live peacefully among others. They owned their
house and a small pot of farm land and they don't have to pay rent
like us.

There is one kind of very tiny insect that like to bite a newcomer and
when it bite you, it will get inside of your skin and live in it and
that part of the skin can become infected.

Forgot to tell you, the two Hmong missionaries were begging their
headquarter to return to the states by excused that they want to
further their education and now none want to go there. The position
is still vacancy.

As a devout Catholic, I could not stay longer than these two
protestant brothers if I wear their shoes. I would like to applaud
them for their dedication to serve the Lord. I had spoken with
missionary, Va Chao Lee and his father-in-law the Reverend Chong Xeng
Yang who have lived with us in Milwaukee, WI for more than a decade.
They are nice people and they always encourage people to become
missionary to visit to live or to retire in there.

They are plenty of tropical fruits for us to eat and wild animal to
hunt. And it is truth that the Hmong people in Guyana are less stress
than us. Due to the hardlabor of their farm work, most of them are
older than the people who live in the states but they are heathier and
not many people have gout or diabetic problems.

The author cautioned that his study was an "opportunistic" study and
one should treat it as such.
The conlusion focused on "high blood pressure comparison" and yet only
a few page and couple lines of data were dedicate to it. The study
addressed mainly on the historical events of this Hmong setlement in
French Guiana. He had compiled informations and provided a good
service to the readers for a comprehensive view. Spending 3 months
with the Hmong people was also beneficial to gathert detail
information. When it comes to the high blood pressure issue he
completely flanked or almost intentionally misled readers that because
of the lower blood pressure and less desire to return to Laos made
French Guiana a better place for Hmong. If one just quickly "Google"
for the subject of Hogh blood pressure comaprison between urban and
ruralcommunities then one realize that the result is also mixed.
Although mentioned the author didn't focus on the other important
factors such as , well being level, financial situation, diet ...that
would be crucial to draw a "possible" conclusion.
When it come to the return to the homeland, the author was almost
clueless. French Guiana is an isolate place. Information flow is
almost stagnant. In such environment people just adapted to the daily ...
