I don't know any Hmong doctors personally, non in my immediate area.
I'm sure just like doctors of any ethnic, there are good ones and
there are bad ones. There is one doctor that I know of who has
admitted that he wasn't very good in school and that he almost didn't
get thru school even with help from the Australian Embassador's
family.
When it comes to your family's health, find a good doctor in your area
who's highly recommended and board approved. When your family's
health is on the line get the best that you can no matter what ethnic
he/she may be.
I would also recommend that you try to stay away from doctors whose
patients may have had bad or negative experiences. Also keep in mind
that in a clan structure, patients with negative experiences are
discouraged from reporting bad practices by doctors who are clan
members to try to keep things out of the media or authority's reach.
The clans will protect the reputation of their own doctors so to
speak. Bad or negative experiences by existing or former patients may
not even be known to potential new patients.
Buyer beware.
