Any individual cans earn a Ph.D. in any field as long as that
individual completes an approval (satisfaction) Thesis (written pager)
from the U that the individual attends. Written Thesis can be as short
as 30 pages or as long as 500 or more pages. My good friend has a
Ph.D. in Mathematic from U of M and his Thesis was about 40 pages
because what he needs to do to get his Ph.D. in Math was to proof a
brand new math theory.
I read most of Hmong Ph.D. Thesis (except Dr. Yang Dao and Dr. KaoLy
Yang) because both were written in French. My French is only K-Grade.
Dr. Pobzeb Vang's Thesis was the Longest - I could remember how many
pages but for sure more than 200 pages.
Some Hmong Ph.D. Thesis was well written, some "OK written - but
proven by that U so consider GOOD".
If the individual does not complete a Thesis, the individual cannot be
classified as Ph.D.
In addition, his/her Doctor Degree should said:

Yes . a DC can be a PHD -- as long as a DC completes a Thesis a long
side with the DC ..
DC is not PHD -- MD is not PHD .. Ed.D may be PHD .. JD is not PHD.

sy..
what do you call a person who couldn't get into med
school....DENTIST...!!! (poor joke of the day).
you seemed correct on your answers...as long as he/she finish his/her
thesis..then yes, they can be labeled as "phd" people. the reason i'm
asking in the first place....the topic says "phd"...and i'm
questioning those 300+ phd...i'm almost sure that number is less than
that...
