????

koj hais txog lub "qwj" lov?

i always wondered about lub qwj myself. in fact, it is in most, if not
all, cultures in their art and/or science.

here is a book that i have read about,
http://www.amazon.com/Golden-Ratio-Worlds-Astonishing-Number/dp/0767908155.

here is public information http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Golden_ratio.
look for logarithmic spiral or fibonacci spiral.

ib tug laus qhia kuv tias, "lub qwj no yog hais tias lub qauv
(original)" that's the symbology of lub qwj. tseem hnov ib co hmoob
hais hais tias lub qwj no yog "hmoob" vim tias hmoob yog haiv neeg qub
pug thauv.

any ideas to share would be interesting.......

cheers.

While it does look real cool, and it does very much resemble the Hmong
paj ntaub symbol for qwj... I think they are actually potraying water
or waves in this instance. Water was a recurring theme during the
opening ceremony, and makes much more sense than a flock of snails.
Sure, it is a nice coincidence that a symbol they use in a piece of
art happens to resemble a symbol we use, but it is a stretch to call
it our own. It's like khejdub ppl claiming yexus is black. Right...
