Watch your waistline....if you want to father!
Wearing tight briefs has been blamed for reducing sperm count, but men
trying to conceive should also watch their waistline, based on a
Scottish study. The sperms of 2000 men who were
unsuccessful in conceiving were analyzed and found that, compared to
men with a healthy BMI (normal weight), obese men had lower levels of
seminal fluid and a higher proportion of abnormal sperm.
The researchers suggested testicular overheating due to excessive fat
in the pubic area, or altered hormone levels in obese men, might be
implicated.
