Expiring Marriage License?

Kab ntsab ib tsoom npoj yaig SCHlers,

Kuv twb post ib zaug hais txog "Term Marriage" lawm. Tiam sis zoo li
ziag no peb kuj muaj cov npoj yaig SCHlers coob ntxiv tshiab txuam
nrog rau cov nkauj muam lawm, thiab. Yog no kuv rov muab cov lus los
dib peb siab rov sib tham dua, yuam?

Ziag no ces ho yuav hais ncig txog daim "marriage license" los yog
ntawv sib yuav. Vim tias peb nyob lub ntuj ua tsis muaj pluaj siab sib
cog sib raws kom laus nkoos lawm; it's a reality and the ever
increasing number/ratio of divorces clearly indicate that the marriage
institute is on shaking ground; not too many marriages last or survive
beyond its 10th anniversary any more. Yog li ces cia ib khub niam txiv
twg sib sau ua neej no tsuas pub ib daim license li 2, 3, 4, 5, los
yog 6 xyoo xwb ces yuav tsum tau rov mus renew dua thiaj li yuav tau
daim license tshiab. Yog tias tsis renew thiab yog ob tug tsis xav
nyob ua ke lawm ces nkawv nyias mus nyias xwb thiaj tsis raug them nqi
lawyer thiab filing fee nram court ntau...

Thov nej piav ntxiv peb mloog...

That's a good idea but ours is the best. You see, we never have a
marriage license.

Marriage in this country does not mean anything anymore. It only gives
the women the right to 50%% of your assets. Look at Anna Nicole Smith,
Heather Mills (Paul McCartney's wife) and all the high roler's wives
like Donald Trump's exes as well as all the Hollywood stars' ex-wives.
That's why they have pre-nuptial agreement (same as term
marriage...pay as you go or live together until one find some one
else). I am for term marriage. Once expired, I can either renew (stick
with the old one for another term) or not renew (find some one else).

Cov Phoojywg,
Kuv tsis to taub hais tias ua li cas peb tsis promote a lifetime
marriage es cas ho yuav promote term marriage?

Py Txiabneeb,
Kuv xav hais tias koj hais yuam kev lawm pob. Lwm haiv neeg mas tsis
txhob rawm hais txog, cia hais txog Hmoob xwb nawb. Tam li kuv pom mas
Hmoob feem coob tsis yog sib yuav es sib nrauj tau yooj yooj yim npaum
li koj hais. Cov sib nrauj uanteu sib yuav tau 10 xyoo yog cov tsawg
tsawg xwb. Feem coob yog cov sib yuag tag sim neej.

Faj and SCHler friends,

Don't jump too quick to your conclusion...this is a capitalist
society...if there's demands supply proceed...ideally we should never
talk about it, but there're plenty of people who would wish for only a
term marriage or at least consideration for a renewal in her/his
marriage license...i.e. those that change their minds to pursue same-
sex marriage/partnership?

Think about it for moment...

All,

I believe we don't have to have a term marriage, however, there are
many ways for man and woman to bond yet there are some consequences
that we all beared for it. A have a caucasion friend who has a
girlfriend and they lived together for 5 years without much problems.
The 6th years they decided to marry and guest what, it last only for
one month and they divorced.

Yog zoo li no tiag mas, tsis tas yuav ua ntawv sibyuav thiab sibyuav
li rauqhov nws nkim sijhawm thiab nyiajtxiag xwb. Nyob uake es
hnubtwg tsis sibhaum ces sau nra xwb tseem yoojyimtshaj.

One catchy thing about this is that we all live and bound to the
society and religion that we dwell ourselves into. Otherwise, nws
tseem yuav haibtshaj qhov no ntau npaug ntxiv.

Uncle kuamemiab and SCHlers,

If there's no legal and/or traditional obligation/application then by
all means stay boy/girl friends forever...i.e. zoo ib yam Hmoob, yog
tsis ua tshoob ces tsis paub sib hu li; legal application zoo li nqi
se, custody, and right to her/his property, investment, financial,
etc...

Term marriage or expiring license alleviate all of that...
