"In both Laos and Australia, bigamy is a crime. It is a crime because
it violates basic human rights in marriage. It appears that you have
no qualm violating these basic human rights. What do you think the
international community ought to do to protect the basic human rights
of women? If you feel that the human rights of women are not worth
protecting, then what would you think the international community
ought to take your position on the rights of Hmong in the jungle? In
my view, a person who takes on such issue as Hmong in the jungle ought
to have as prerequisite moral fortitude and forthrightness. So far
Laos and the internal community have paid no heed to the cause of
Hmong in the jungle because the people who raise the issue are
themselves violators of human rights. Teev"

Thorn,
First of all, let me clarify that I don’t know Dr. Pao’s personal
life. To the best of my knowledge, we have never met.
Secondly, I have noticed that you have consistently attacked Dr. Pao on
personal level in this forum; your motives, whether personal or political
is unclear.
Third, before you qualify yourself as the moral police, what have you done
to prevent the “violation of basic human rights in marriage”? Please
share with us?
Lastly, if you espouse another piece of western morality, I will puke.
Let me tell you a little story about the US and bigamy.

Chong,
Are you claiming that VP had NINE wives and his subordinates each had
quite a few because of the CIA?
Did the CIA go around and make people have multiple wives?
If your claim is true, then it is a testimony to the incompetence of
Hmong leaders, VP in particular. In short, the CIA spit out garbage
and Hmong leaders bought it.
It was the job of the CIA to do whatever was good for America. It was
the job of Hmong leaders, specifically VP, to do whatever was good for
Hmong and Laos. Your claim thus demonstrates that VP and his Hmong
subordinates were derelict of their duties and sold Hmong to the CIA.
Since they made themselves hired guns for the CIA to do dirty works,
what do you think the CIA should do with them when they were no longer
useful: The CIA would dump them into the pit, of course.
Remember, the CIA was not and is not an angel organization. Its
mandate is to do the dirtiest job for America, supposedly in your and
my benefits now as we are Americans.

Teev,
Your animosity towards VP clouds your ability to reason. On this ground
alone I am reluctant to engage in a pissing match with you.
For example, how did you conclude that I may have insinuated that
“VP’s nine wives were the result of the CIA?”
My point was that the CIA took advantage of the Hmong’s culturally
accepted polygamy system to unite the clans for their own selfish needs.
Once no longer needed, they tossed the baby out with the bath water.
Thus, hypocrites have no room to wiggle.
When you’re willing to debate with facts and not emotions then I will
give you the time.
Chong

Before the Americans, Hmong people have already practiced polygamy to
show sign of richesse. Therefore, ctj statement saying that ploygamy
was the CIA plan may not be quite right. Somehow, with the abundant
CIA fund, most of hmong soldiers took the advantage of it so they can
imitate their leader as a sign of wealth.
Maybe our dr. pao is still having that sign of wealth in his mind, who
knows?

your father also practiced polygamy, no?

not even close. CTJ is praised by many to be a 'true hmong scholar',
and yet, this is the quality of his work. CTJ, go after the truth.

so, is teev the idiot saying that LPDR will only take heed to someone
on morally higher grounds? who could this person be? if not teev
himself? how come, if teev is not a violator of human rights, does
LPDR not listen to him? how come no hmong freedom fighter listen to
him? how come no person, other than his this duplicate and fabricated
thugs such as billy xiong, only come out to say one-liners, yeah, way
to go homie?
point is, LPDR will continue to kill because they have their own moral
compass, which is to slaughter democracy and freedom so they can
pocket the crumbs from welfare programs of the international
community.
