Dance & Dance & Dance

I was invited to a party last weekend. I met a nice woman who I have
never seen before. She came with her husband, who is around his late
40s. I don't know what her age is but I assume she is in her mid
40s. She looks gorgeous! In the 4th round of dancing, I decided to
ask her for a dance.

We did go one round and then I wanted to dance with her again. So I
asked her again and she agreed. We started talking and boy, she has
this special smile that I just couldn't keep my eyes off her. I would
skip a few dance and then ask her again and again. I know her husband
didn't quite like it but I just can't stop. He is also dancing with
one of her friend.

Have you ever experience something like that when you have a crush on
someone other than your spouse that you just can't get him/her off
your mind?

I'm gonna go back again this weekend and see if she's coming back.
This time I might ask for her phone number.

yaweh,
Thanks for finally saying what you mean. Basically, you are saying
that the reason Hmong women don't get to sit at the table with men is
because Hmong men can't resist temptation "tsam yus ho cev tes mus dev
to female next to you....". I find this revealation very
interesting. Do you think this is because Hmong women have strong
magnatism, charm, beauty and men simply can't resist? Please
elaborate.

hnub...

no..that's not what i meant...from the traditional view...it is what i
explained before...but that only pertains to getting a table for
man...and women...separately....cov txiv neej muaj ib lub rooj...cov
pojniam muaj ib lub...

this obseration however, deals with men/women together, side by
side.... have you been or seen a table where men drink and make fun
and laugh and get drunk? some of the time, it is disgusting.

my observation can be true...primiarily on the fact that most of hmong
"taboo" revolves around sexual act or sexual initation.

1. cov hmoob faj cov nyab tuav candles near the corpse....and are not
allowed to go anywhere tom ntees...this taboo has a story...a sexual
story is involved...so cov laus banned cov nyab to only remain near
the corpse and nowhere else.

2. cov caiv txaj....nyab mus tsi tau hauv tus father lub chav...same
thing....txiv hlob mus tsi tau hauv niam ntxawm chaw...same thing...

3. nyab hla tsi tau tu father xub ntiag tom qhov cub...same thing..

4. noj tsi tau qaub saum rooj mov...

OK. Fair is fair - no men or women are immuned to temptation but women
have stronger morale and discipline, thus, less likely to follow
through. Women can talk to a man freely and have absolutely no sexual
feeling towards him whereas men, on the other hand, almost always
think about their sex.
