Burial ritual

My knowledge in the culture practice of burial ceremony is limited to
none. I would like to know why is the taboo about not suppose to have
any metal substance withing the body of the deceased when it's time
for burial. They cannot be adorn with any type of ring and necklace.
Even though I've never actually seen on a first hand account, but have
heard of numerous times about the relatives pull the deceased's gold
tooth off before taking to the burial site. Again, not sure if
someone just exagerate or it's for real, but also heard about the
living relatives wanting to take out the metal prosthetic body part
[leg, limb, etc.] before bury. Why?
