Johny,
Good observation, but you better ask Thai military the accurate number
of Lao hmong migrants in Thailand, what happened in the late of the
year 2005? Please to be sure that we treat our pinong hmong returnees
with transparency and fair as you may notice every hand-over ceremony
btw Lao & Thai or Lao Central & Lao local authorities, we make it
openly and report the exact number from the top to bottom each time.
See each VDO clip here: http://www.youtube.com/profile_videos?user=LPDR
and the latest VDO taken on 2 July 2008 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-LtJcjOh65A
What do you think shall we do any things more for your satisfaction?

These people get closer and closer to their 4x6 Xoune Xammana. The
first lesson will be "Tamni Tune eng". There will be 3-12 months in
xoune xammana. It can be continued until they achieve the final
lesson of "Phak Lad Xong Xai". Someone will never get to that stage.
I feel sorry for these people.

The hand-over each time is made officially and there is a signing of
documents signaling the total number, the number of families, women
and children, the place of the Hand-over and the name of the sender
and recipient. The Hand-over documents are signed in two copies to be
given one to Thailand Authorities and another one to Lao Authorities.
So no one can play with the number.
The exact number of Hmong handed over to Laos by Thai Authorities on
the 22 JUne 2008 was 837 and both sides keep record officially.
After staying in Paksane for second screening (by the Lao sides) and
after the sending back to their home cities, the Lao side send a copy
detailing the number of families and persons send to which province
and district in Laos to its Thai counterpart. On top of it, we also
send a copy of DVD of the handing-ver to local authorities in Laos to
the Thai side so that they can keep a record and screen to Hmong
people in Houay Namkhao to show that nobody is harmed and sho
interview of the feeling of returnees in their country. Those DVD can
also be seen in Youtube or Flick.
