Looks like it continues. Too bad. With a good plan, all the bees on
the island might have been exterminated in three months. Instead we
are waiting for something to happe
-- what I don't know. Most of the
feral bees are killed off by now. I saw a single honey bee on the last
shopping at Costco Waipio. But beekeepers are hanging onto their hives
because the state will not provide enough compensation to them for
lost hives. They're mitigating the effect of the mite by powered sugar
or miticides.
