Pet peeve

Author: Alvin E. Toda
Date: Mar 8, 2007 14:50

Was at the Pearl Ridge Border's today for lunch and
read a chapter from Obama's book "The Audacity of
Hope". Noticed a number of Japanese tourists there too.
Odd...

Was browsing through the science fiction and getting
annoyed that so much "fantasy" is shelved there as
well. Magic is not the same thing as science. Granted
some science fiction is almost like magic stuf
-- "Star
Wars" for example. Nevertheless there is some slender
scientific explanation even it seems implausible. Of
course, the stories that are more plausible are better.
Are there any science fiction readers out there who
would agree?

Do the titles "Martian Chronicles" or "Farenheit 451" sound familiar?
