Oops- my bees are Carpenter Bees, not Bumble Bees- are they aggressive?

I posted earlier about the bees that have moved in. I researched and
discovered that they are probably Carpenter Bees as they are all black
and are making holes in the stumps. One website says the females can
become aggressive. Should I leave them alone or find a way to
encourage them to move on?

Carpenter bees (and we have plenty) think of pine wood- used as fascia
near the top of our coffee shack roof, --they think of pine as a
picnic. I don't think they are agressive to humans -but they honestly
eat wood. Above our bedroom at night sometimes, in the narrow tunnels
they have drilled, those carpenter bees have "bee fights" and I have
to get out the broom handle and tap their sleeping places-- our upper
ceiling--to remind them to be quiet.

We keep some old wood around for them to nest in. They love old ti
stumps (the softer the better). And they are the best pollinator for
lilikoi (in fact, pretty much the only one). Being somebody who grows
lilikoi, I wouldn't want to be without them.
