Thanks! I appreciate the input and I'll look into posting a reading
list. Although I'm unsure of how reliable (in an accademic sence) the
record is on ancient hawaii before the europeans arrival. There are
definatly a lot of interesting stories though, I'll have to delve a
little further into that subject.

What did he mention about the battle?

That's a cool name, it reminds me of a futuristic cyber maverik or
renegade starship captain.

Ancient hawaii is a long standing interest of mine and I would say the
site is 90%% hobby, I'm also an artist though and do some Hawaiian
painting and wood working (tiki gargoyles).... but this is only a hobby
too. In the future you may see 3 or more of these pieces on the site
linked to ebay auctions. Pruduction is some what slow though, as this
is not my career by any means. I also make some weapons and have toyed
around with the idea of putting some slings up for sale on the site...
but how commercial these plans realy are remains to be seen, so it is
almost totaly a hobby. I would be willing to post any ideas there too
that you or any intelligent people might have.

Hmm, maybe it is lurid.. you're the second person to mention that it
seems to focus on the darker side... at least we can agree warfare was
pretty common. I think your right about human sacrifice not being
particularly common.. at least compared to some other civilizations
like the Aztecs. (they have made some awesome new finds.. but caution,
this is very lurid!...

I know of several documented cases and will look into finding out about
its frequency in a more substantial way.

I appreciate you pointing out the Chaste/Caste typo, that could be
confusing and pointing it out isn't too nitpicky.

I'll have to look into Kane and find some better pictures of Hawaiian
statues too.

Thanks! I do appreciate your input and would welcome more on how I
could show the lighter side of the ancient Hawaiians.

Thanks!
