Meh, he's still head and shoulders above the current one, but I'll
always
compare a given president to either Kennedy or Lincoln. Or Reagan.
Especially the latter. I mean, he made me LIKE Republicans. And Lincoln
was the first Republican. But the current crop ... I'll stop now.
But I'm a die-hard Kennedy fan, and probably always will be.

The current congress is overwhelmingly Democrat.
And it's far from 'do-nothing'.
If anything, they're doing less evil than the previous one, but they are
far from innocent.
Quite frankly, I'd gleefully take a real 'do-nothing' congress right
about
now; it would be a dramatic improvement over what we've got.
And do NOT get me started on the Republican-Hamstrung Senate.

It's not that he lies; all politicians do that. The famous Max Headroom
quote comes easily to mind: "You can always tell when they're lying:
their
lips move."
And as for being a "Christian" in Politics, consider that the case
can be
made that for any politician, Satan signed their nomination papers. Read
Luke 4:6 if you think i've got that wrong.
And the Shrub is NOT a Christian. When I look at him, I don't see
someone
who's trying to act like a Jesus Ad, or someone who would ask
themselves,
"What Would Jeuss Do?", and be familiar enough with His character to
know
the answer... I see someone who believes in Another God entirely, and
who
eagerly worships at their alter to get whatever blood-spattered goodies
they can, while they can, before it is their turn to be sacrificed.
What really offends me about the Shrub is that he has violated his oath
of office to defend the constitution from all enemies, both foreign and
domestic; he has in fact become an open enemy of the constitution.
And what causes me to fear for the future of this country is that SOME
people say that they would vote for him again as President if he was
able to run for another term.
They say that people get the government that they deserve.
If true, and "We Deserve Bush", we are most to be pitied.
