In a recent Star-Bulletin...

It is an odd report. A group in another community
complains about a facility that is not too different
from existing Landfill nearby. It seems that the local
community might or might not welcome the jobs that the
new facility might bring. In this case, it's not even
NIMBY, but the squeaky wheel. One wonders what the
group from Waianae's motivation is in relation to
nearby wealthy landowners' opposition to the city dump
in Waimanalo Gulch in Nanakuli. The composting company
will certainly not change land values in Waianae.
