Any place to rent Scooters on North Shore Oahu?

Im going to be visiting Oahu for a week and traveling via bus. Once i
get to North Shore i would like to have the option of renting a
scooter to get around for a day or two (renting a car for the week is
way to expensive) . Wondering if any one knows if there are scooter
rentals somewhere out there.

I've heard that some tourists will rent scooters in Waikiki and ride
them around the island. That sounds dangerous to me. It's pretty flat
on the north shore. A bike would do as well. But it might be just as
dangerous as riding a scooter in that area. However, a bike might be
easier to ride on the side in a traffic jam for all the foot traffic.

There have been used bike shops that also rent bikes & scooters in
Hale'iwa... they come and go. Mostly they've been in Hale'iwa, next to
IGA & (what's Fujiyoka's now? Starts with an M), and also near the
Foodland at the base of Pupuke'a Rd.

Great information. One ting about our buses though.... they have a
bike rack for the bike of a passenger.
