Nous devons bien l'admettre pour réagir et trouver les moyens de
corriger cette anomalie. Nous sommes un État parasite. Nous n'avons
pas besoin que les autres nous le disent avec toutes les blessures que
cela provoquera, reconnaissons-le et faisons notre bilan pour nous
situer et nous cerner dans notre véritable réalité.

I think you missed the crux of the article. It is an indictment of the
status quo and an appeal to the national soul. We should give the
author a cookie.
