Greetings once again from beautiful
Jacmel, Haiti! I would like to invite
you to view some photos from our
Petro dance this past Thursday.
We began in the morning with the
sacrifice of a pig. Then in the
evening all of the members of the
Roots Without End Society put on
their beautiful red, green and gold
Petro uniforms. The dance was
great! Lots of people, excellent
drumming, and plenty of lwa -
Grand Bwa, Erzulie Dantor, Simbi
Makaya to name a few.
You can view these photos in the
"Photos" section of my forum, at:
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Mambo_Racines_Vodou_Forum
The album is entitled "Petro
Service December 2006". Enjoy!

Jean Candio has been imprisoned in Windsor, Ontario since December 13,
2006.
He left Haiti in March, 2004, following the Coup d'etat which culminated
in the kidnapping of democratically elected Haitian President Jean-Bertrand

Lavalas movement and Party by the U.S./Canadian and French installed interim
government which brought back to power many criminal forces from the

1,000 march through Haitian capital to demand Aristide's return
The Associated Press
Thursday, December 28, 2006
PORT-AU-PRINCE, Haiti
About 1,000 supporters of ousted former President Jean-Bertrand Aristide
marched through the Haitian capital Thursday to demand his return from exile
and protest the presence of U.N. peacekeepers.
The peaceful demonstration marked the largest show of support in months for
Aristide, who fled Haiti in February 2004 amid a violent uprising and has
been living in South Africa.
"This is a gift for the end of the year for President Aristide," said
Deshommes Presengloire, a spokesman for Aristide's Lavalas party.

Haiti's Leader: Cancer Has Not Returned
The Associated Press
PORT-AU-PRINCE, Haiti -- Haitian President Rene Preval said Friday after
undergoing tests in Cuba that his prostate cancer has not returned.
Preval, 63, said he would go back to see his Cuban doctors on March 18, but
that the health of his prostate was "under control."
"The Constitution says that if a president is not in good health, he can't
continue with his functions but that doesn't apply to me because I'm in good
health," he said upon arriving back in Haiti.
Preval revealed earlier this month that blood tests showed possible signs of
cancer, but that the results were inconclusive. He was diagnosed with
prostate cancer in 2001, the final year of his first presidential term, and
was treated in Cuba.

Haiti: Blue Helmets Bring No Peace
Central Bureau, Dec 30 (Prensa Latina) Far from helping to keep the peace
as they claimed, troops of the UN Stabilization Mission in Haiti (MINUSTAH)
continue stirring up strife in that Caribbean nation.
Besides abuse and sexual trade denounced by social and humanitarian bodies,
the blue-helmets have staged various armed attacks against the civil
population in that poor state.
One of the most rapped by the public opinion was carried out by 400
MINUSTAH agents, who besieged and machine-gunned the Cite Soleil district.
People in that community assured that members of that international force,
supported by some Haitian police officers, opened fire on the morning of
Dec 22, without apparent reasons, and extended attacks during the day
killing 40 civilians.

Chaos Reigns in Haiti
By Jean Michel Caroit
English translation by Leslie Thatcher
The horrible crime shattered Haiti. Brilliant student Farah
Dessources, 20, was tortured and murdered by her kidnappers. Her
mutilated body was found in mid-November, despite her mother, of modest
means, having paid a ransom. Several days later, on November 25th, the
corpse of a six-year-old child, Carl Roobenz Francillon, appeared.
Kidnapped at the exit of his school, he had been strangled, even though
his parents also had paid what the kidnappers demanded.
Farah's funeral took on the look of a demonstration against the
United Nations Mission in Haiti (Minustah), which numbers about 9,000
Blue Helmets, and against President Ren

There is no such thing as Satan, and anyway, that is not what she is
worshipping. Stop cross-posting your intolerance to all these
newsgroups. Aren't you smart enough to edit headers???
If anything brings curses on your country it is your filthy bible that
advocates slavery and authoritarian rule. How did that work out for you?
Yours is clearly a case of "my invisible friend is bigger than your
invisible friend." At least her invisible friends don't condemn the
worship of yours, which makes her false religion better than your false
religion.
