A friend of mine who is higher up in the Chinese social echelon told
me the following in his own words"
".....Sad thing is that several days before the disaster, thousands of
toads in that disaster area left the ponds and runniing all over the
streets..The toads were warning the impending disaster in their own
way..The ordinary folks were worried about earthquake and asked the
experts on local tv stattion..The local experts on tv dismissed fears
saying the toads were moving for a better environment...."
