While waiting for my beat up car with 184,500 miles to be service in
the dealership, I watched CNN about the Haditha killings. I feel sorry
for the US Marines. Here I am about to volunteer for active duty, I
change my mind after what I saw how the marines were treated as
criminals. Folk, my boss and friends in the National Guard are in
Bagdag. They are under tremendous stress. They will be there one year
and have been told that they will be extended.
Catch 22 or Damn u do and Damn U don't. To be soldier is to kill or be
killed. Our troops are in the danger zone. Everyone (despite being a
man) is afraid living in the unkown terroritory waiting to be blown up.
I recalled the Vietnam war how they used children and women to kill
our troops. This Iraq war is different and more dangerous. It is a
mess and will get worst. I know it before it happens.
