to great lengths. A group recently buried a leader in a coffin draped
with the swastika. Mr Mannichl had it dug up. On December 13th they
took their revenge. Crying “you will not trample the graves of our
comrades any more, you leftist pig,” somebody stabbed and almost
killed Mr Mannichl at the door of his house in Fürstenzell, near
Passau. This brazen attack on a senior policeman brings a “completely
new dimension” to violence by right-wing extremists, declared
Bavaria’s interior minister, Joachim Herrmann.

Has Russia bombed the Ukrainian Yevpatoria apartment building to

Провести в Ташкенте собрание правозащитного характера - дело
непростое. На днях в этом лишний раз убедились участники пресс-
конференции, посвященной нарушению правовых норм в судебной практике и
проведенной незарегистрированной <<Инициативной группой НПО <<Комитет
социального мониторинга>>.

Несмотря на меры предосторожности от места сбора и до <<конференц-
зала>> (квартиры в обыкновенном жилом доме), за собравшимися неотступно
шли какие-то личности, по словам организаторов, сотрудники МВД.
Встреча проходила полулегально, напоминая собрание небезызвестного
<<Союза меча и орала>>. После того как все, наконец, собрались,
председательствующая Ольга Краснова озвучила тезисы.
