Iran shifts attention to brokering peace in Iraq
Details from a secret meeting between top Iranian and Iraqi officials
signal Iran's aim to 'stop arming' militias.

By Scott Peterson and Howard LaFranchi

ISTANBUL, Turkey; and BAGHDAD - Iran's role in helping broker a cease-
fire in Baghdad's Sadr City may be the first sign that it is acting to
fulfill recent promises to stop arming Iraq's militias and help stem
their attacks.

While the deal inked Monday was tested Tuesday as militants in Moqtada
al-Sadr's Baghdad stronghold launched overnight attacks on US forces,
Iraqi officials say that Iranian influence was key to reaching the
deal with the anti-American cleric aimed at ending weeks of deadly
fighting.

Obama is Carter II, the sequel.

Author: Crescentius Vespasianus

For those of you who remember the Carter years 1976-1980, it was like
being trapped in someone else's nightmare. Carter taxed business's in
the name of fairness, that resulted in stagflation, a nightmare of run
away inflation and unemployment. But Carter was so obsessed with
fairness he could not see that he had turned the whole economy upside
down, and everyone felt the pain. I don't remember any happy times
during the Carter years. It was when people with Doctorate degrees
were driving taxi's so they could eat. Carter tanked so many jobs
that college graduates were competing against the illiterate for
burger flipping jobs. But Carter saw everything in terms of fairness,
why should someone with superior education live in a better house than
someone with just high school degree, and on and on it went. It was a
time when you hoarded everything, because if you waited it would cost
so much more at a later time. It was a time when there were massive
lines at the gas pumps, due to shortages caused by Carter's reluctance
to engage in Arabian politics, and his punishment of the oil
companies. Not one refinery has been built since Carter banned
construction of them in 1976. Carter proposed wind and solar power,
meanwhile people's electricity rates went through the roof. Before
Carter, electric bills were so small, they were hardly noticed, but ...

Mobile Audit Club

http://www.angelfire.com/zine2/democracyordeath/index.html

Daily foreword May 13, 2008: I, Kurt Brown, alias Saint Ram Bone, former
FDIC bank examiner, and federal murder and multi billion dollar banking
crimes informant and survivor, is about to embark on a new Mobile Audit Club
experiment and I am asking for any assistance in ideas or to hold a camera
or military backup should I be attacked during these experiments by myself
in the ruling war criminal regime in power in much of the United States.

I am illegally forbidden entry in my native city's government in Mobile
Alabama. Across the bay in Baldwin County in Bay Minette, I am allowed
entry into the ruling regime's government meetings. I was near Tallahassee
Florida, Florida's state capital, yesterday, near Bristol, and one of the
war criminals for the regime, told me afterward that I was invited in
Bristol Florida much more than I am invited in Tallahassee and that I could
expect the same as what I got in Mobile.

At that moment I knew there was a self righteous Nazi like element among
many of the South East and the Gulf Coast near North Florida. They expect us
not to want government participation, and not to be...

what am I paying for gas?

Author: Crescentius Vespasianus

If there are any math or algebra
geniuses out there, maybe you can tell
me what I'm paying for gas. I live in
Mexico, and the only gas station they
have there is the Pemex station. The
price varies by region, but where I am
the price is currently 68 pesos per
liter. I pay in dollars, and they
accept the rate of 10 pesos to the
dollar, when in fact I think the real
exchange rate is 11 pesos to the dollar,
so I take a little hit there. They
won't let you touch the pump, an
attendant does it for you, so I give her
a 35 cents for that. You can leave the
tip out, as it's always the same
regardless of how much gas she pumps.
What am I paying in dollars per gallon?
