Obli Do....

Hmmmmm. The Seven Bamboo strips of the Cloudy Satchel are
a bit more my cup of Cha, however, it might upset the masses
if they found out that Mark hung around the Cavern of Mystery.....

I digress; much has been said of the book of Mark, and a lot of it
should be taken on board by these fundie nutcase christians we
seem to be dealing with on this thread (ONE WHO OWES MONEY
TO CHARITY), in regards to the history of the scriptures, the times
they were created, by who, for whom, and why....
Mark 16:17-20 has nothing to do with me, God or Jimmy. That
was written a few thousand years after Jim bought the big one
(that cave trick was neat heh?).

Anyway, this is the bits I take offense at:

"The Passage the Devil wanted out of Your Bible
There are plenty of Bible-believing evangelicals and fundamentalists
who say they believe the Word of God, but sadly you'll not find nearly
as many who believe the words of Mark 16:15-20. Some people stop at
verse 15 in their believing, some at verse 16 but if it really is the
Word of God, God wants us to believe it all, right up to the end of
verse 20. Here is the passage in the New King James Version:

And He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to
every creature.
"He who believes and is baptized shall be saved; but he who does not
believe will be condemned.
"And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will
cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues;
"they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will
be no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will
So then, after the Lord had spoken to them, He was received up into
heaven, and sat down at the right hand of God.
And they went out and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them
and confirming the word through the accompanying signs. Amen. (Mark
16:15-20) "

What a load of bloody nonsense. I never said anything of the sort.
Can you imagine me saying something as banal as "In my name
they will cast out demons"? I mean, really....

I have kill(ed) a few daemons (-9) in my time, but Buffy I am not.
