======== Welcome! to the Physics Newsgroups ==========
The sci.physics.* and alt.sci.physics.* newsgroups are
forums devoted to the discussion of physics and
physics-related topics.
The contributors to these newsgroups constitute a
diverse group of laypeople, students, engineers, and
other professionals in addition to professional
physicists. All are united by an interest in physics,
and all are welcome to contribute postings here.
The Physics Newsgroup FAQ is available from a number of
Web sites listed later in this welcome message. Some
of the more narrowly focused physics newsgroups have
their own FAQs, which are regularly posted in the
appropriate newsgroups. The Physics Newsgroup FAQ is
available only as a web document since it is too big
and uses images and equations that cannot be
transformed into text.

I checked with Google Groups, and a post by you was on the 17th
at 8:59 to "PD" on the thread "Why the speed of light is
constant". As I log on to my NSP account, I see the 17th at
11:47pm post by you as "new"
If you are judging how successful you are at posting by Google
Groups reporting it, you shouldn't. The last post by you they
have yet indexed is on the 15th. They don't (apparently) do a
global query of every post when you ask for it, but of a
predigested "index"... just as they do with web pages.
"Filters" are only applied at your NSP. Once they accept and
forward it (seconds), it is global, and unalterable.
Does that help?

As good an explanation as any! Hey, periodically I go through a
paranoid (Google Censorship) phase. In fact just did. But as usual all
we can say is "welcome to Google". The Google posting software is...

Eric,
not unicorns but gremlins. NG's are some of the best features on the
Internet but we take them as granted and if the reliability is
sometimes less than 100%% we may get ruffled. I should be more patient.
