Says a lot for the reliability of the tank when a specimen can be submerged
(under admittedly ideal conditions) for 56 years, and is retrieved in
near-working condition. Based on
http://www.lonesentry.com/articles/tankmaint/index.html I don't know what
echelon of German tank maintenance would have been required to fix this
tank, but presumably it wouldn't have been a major job.
