Hilarious!
Pogue Linthicum, hiding out in the tall grass, is now trying to do a
desperate back and fill -- because he has been caught by the short hairs
on the facts -- about which he has been lying -- in order to enhance his
sea story and make himself out as some sort of important figure in the
Gulf of Tonkin Fiasco of August 1964.
Deeeeelightful!
Victoria, it just doesn't get any better than this.
Enjoy!
Gerrel Moore was the Officer-in-Charge of the SIGINT DSU [Direct Support
Unit] later DSE [Direct Support Element] aboard USS Maddox (DD-731) in
the Gulf of Tonkin...
NOT Little Pogue Jack Linthicum.

Interesting typical voyages and adventures of a former naval reserve
officer turned lawyer...
But purely a Red Herring, far off point....
Pogue Linthicum hasn't done a damned thing to prove this silly-buggers
statement that he "started it all with the Tonkin Gulf affair."

Four foot sea level sea level rise by 2100, as opposed to the previous
guess/estimate of 1.5 feet. I should add that I live about 17 feet
above sea level. The loss of sea ice in the Arctic and increaaed
drought in the Southwest are signs of the climate change. The study
dodges the question as to whether human activity is responsible for
the change and also tends to dodge the question of increased methane
in the atmosphere.
Faster Climate Change Feared
New Report Points to Accelerated Melting, Longer Drought
By Juliet Eilperin
Washington Post Staff Writer

The United States faces the possibility of much more rapid climate
change by the end of the century than previous studies have suggested,
according to a new report led by the U.S. Geological Survey.

The Germans did the logical thing and developed a separate missile,
the A-8,
A8
The A8 was prepared in Peenemünde and never finished because of the
progressing war situation. The A8 would have had a takeoff thrust of
340 kN with a takeoff weight of 22,370 kg. The diameter was 0.78 m.
The weapon designs were finished in 1944.[citation needed]
The A8 was intended to use storable liquids including Nitric acid and
diesel oil. It would also dispense with hydrogen peroxide to drive
engine pumps opting for nitrogen pressurised fuel tanks, or possibly
exhaust gases being reused to spin a pump.

Pakistan moves troops toward Indian border
Officials: Pakistan shifts thousands of troops away from Afghan border
toward India
SEBASTIAN ABBOT
AP News
Dec 26, 2008 07:49 EST
Pakistan began moving thousands of troops away from the Afghan border
toward India on Friday amid tensions following the Mumbai attacks,
intelligence officials said.
The move represents a sharp escalation in the standoff between the
nuclear-armed neighbors and will hurt Pakistan's U.S.-backed campaign
against al-Qaida and Taliban taking place near Afghanistan's border.
Two intelligence officials said the army's 14th Division was being
redeployed to Kasur and Sialkot, close to the Indian border. They said
some 20,000 troops were on the move. Earlier Friday, a security
official said that all troop leave had been canceled.
