current is a one place function symbol.
time, year, and month are constant symbols

R = current(time)
R = current(year)
R = current(month)

  #1 new book: Exposing the Optimal Strategy of Playing Chess

New book: "Exposing the Optimal Strategy of Playing Chess", by
Archimedes Plutonium
Internet published book 1993-2008 (amassed in Jan-Feb 2008 in
sci.math, sci.logic, sci.engr)

First a note about my history. I posted to the Internet voluminiously
in the 1990s for the purpose
of eventually turning them into books. I did not dream that my posts
would eventually lead
to over a hundred books on science, but that is what it is shaping out
and becoming. And of all
those potential books two of them became what I considered the two
toughest, at least in the
1990s that was my impression that Superconductivity and Chess were
looking like the toughest
to crack.

Open Letter to Prof. Andrew George, University of DENVER, Dept of
Physics, COLORADO, 80208 USA.
Ref. Einstein's Sep 1905 derivation predicts that,
'When body emits Light Energy, its Mass must also Increase'.

Abstract

To draw scientific conclusions, the knowledge of the paper/topic and
basic aspects of science is necessary. But it has not been so in Prof
Andrew George's comments regarding Ajay Sharma's work on Einstein's
Sep. 1905 paper in the published in Galilean Electrodynamics. Ajay
Sharma has confirmed in various publications that Einstein's Sep. 1905
derivation contradicts law of conservation of matter under some
conditions. This aspect is justified here. Under certain condition
Einstein's Sep 1905 derivation predicts

Mass after emission (Ma)
= Mass before emission (Mb) + (0.04L/10c -L/
c2) (1)
Here ( 0.04L/10c -L/c2 ) is positive quantity.

  Understanding statements without sense

Author: John Jones
Date: Jan 23, 2008 04:18

AN OBSERVATION: The term 'Dyslexia' or 'dyslexic' gives us an insight
into the mechanism of language:

-By saying 'I am dyslexic' we establish a communal response or
understanding. What we do not do is convey a sense. For no-one can say
what they mean when they use the term 'dyslexic' in this way.

'I am dyslexic' shows that language is not about conveyance; that is,
it is not about analysis, translation of meaning, or interpretation of
signs. None of these activities will reveal the non-verbal understanding
that arises from 'I am dyslexic'.

So, what does 'I am dyslexic' say? It is a communal non-verbal or
sign-independent gesture. It points to an understanding, to a social
sanction applied against certain problematic behaviours. We may protest
that 'dyslexia is a technical term that points to a condition'.

  Action, purpose and sacrifice: the method of interpretation

Author: Akash
Date: Jan 23, 2008 03:41

We must choose the meaning of a word that suits the context best, as
in the case of the word Svaru. Acting means drawing something near to
one's self. Action requires the use of a limb of the body, and
different limbs perform different actions; and this is signified by
the word Upavesha. The words Juhoti and Harana have similar meanings.

We cannot accept the common meaning of words; and must have new ones
as in the case of ajya, or make a selection, as in the case of Sam-
yavana. The meaning of certain terms is specially defined: for
instance, Mitra and Varuna signify renunciation of action when the
work of life is done.

There is purpose in action, and its idea is illustrated by the Soma
sacrifice. Action with a purpose arises because of a close connection
between the actor and the objects of life. All purpose has its value;
but the final purpose of action is purification.

What makes you think that?

When it's growing it would be the tallest, only after it's chopped down
would it be the longest.
