ATC Says 9-11 was "Inside job."

Author: knews4u2chew
Date: Mar 30, 2008 20:30

From:
http://www.communitycurrency.org/robin.html

The First Fifteen Minutes of September 11th
Former Air Traffic Controller Robin Hordon speaks out
on 9/11, NORAD and what should have happened on 9/11.

By Jeremy Baker

Within three hours of the attacks on the World Trade Center and
Pentagon, Robin Hordon knew it was an inside job. He had been an Air
Traffic Controller (ATC) for eleven years before Reagan fired him and
hundreds of his colleagues after they went on strike in the eighties.
Having handled in-flight emergencies and two actual hijackings in his
career, he is well qualified to comment on what NORAD should have been
able to achieve in its response to the near simultaneous hijacking of
four domestic passenger carriers on the morning of September 11th,
2001.

nuclear batteries plus ion rockets = interesting possibilities

Author: calderhome

New nuclear battery technology that turns radiation directly into
electricity without turbines is quite interesting. The inventor
claims 1 kW output per cubic cm size, and "power densities of few
thousands horse power per liter." Now that would make an interesting
electric car that could run for its entire useful lifetime without
refueling, or combined with ION ROCKETS, these nuclear batteries would
make a useful spacecraft or ION ROCKET aircraft. You only need 10 to
20kW to run a home.

Yea, I know the government won't allow private use of such nuclear
materials.

  Biofuels march on

Author: Bob Eld
Date: Mar 29, 2008 08:33

Web exclusive posted March 28, 2008 at 12:40 p.m. CST

Delaware-based Alternative Fuel Distributors Inc. recently announced plans
to construct and operate 1,000 convenience stores along the east coast that
will offer only E85 and other alternative fuels. The ambitious project is
expected to be completed within the next three years.

AFD plans to begin operating the initial 100 stores, which will be branded
under a "Go Green Station" trademark, by the first quarter of 2009 in
Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland and Delaware.

There are currently less than 20 E85 stations operating on the East Coast.
Under the proposed plan, AFD is poised to become one of the largest
wholesale distributors of biodiesel in the United States. It will also
provide other alternative fuels for flex-fuel vehicles on the East Coast.

AFD was formed in June 2007 to develop, construct, own and operate
convenience stores dedicated to supplying alternative fuels to its
customers. The company also plans to develop a wholesale distribution
channel for E85, biodiesel, liquefied hydrogen and other alternative fuel
products. In order to achieve the company's objective, AFD plans to file an
initial public offering with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.

Governator Wants 65 Million Sq Ft of Solar in L.A.

The cells will generate as much as 250 megawatts of electricity --
enough to power about 162,500 average homes -- based on an estimate
that 1 megawatt would serve about 650 average homes. Wow!

The plan, the largest rooftop solar installation project ever proposed
by a utility company in the country, was announced by Gov. Arnold
Schwarzenegger and Southern California Edison, according to a story in
the L.A. Times.

TIME Magazine & CNN News story - "The Clean Energy Scam"

Author: calderhome
Date: Mar 28, 2008 09:47

The media is turning against biofuels in a big way. There have been
food riots in so many countries now that it is hard to keep track.
Oil price hikes (really US dollar declining) has raised the price of
food, but only biofuels have shrunk the human food supply. With
biofuels out of the equation, there would be no food crisis, just half
the food price inflation we are seeing today. We could survive that,
but we won't survive biofuels, and that is why at some point there
will be an anti-biofuel revolution in Congress and in the EU.
'Biofuels' will be a dirty word, and a political death sentence for
all those who still promote them.

SEE

"The Clean Energy Scam" (TIME MAGAZINE - CNN NEWS) - "It's (biofuels)
dramatically accelerating global warming, imperiling the planet in the
name of saving it. Corn ethanol, always environmentally suspect,
turns out to be environmentally disastrous. Even cellulosic ethanol
made from switchgrass, which has been promoted by eco-activists and
eco-investors as well as by President Bush as the fuel of the future,
looks less green than oil-derived gasoline."

NIST Creates Perpetual Motion ... But Only for 10 Seconds

Author: Silver
Date: Mar 27, 2008 20:15

"Practical" applications still years away for perpetual motion

The National Institute of Standards and Technology, in conjunction with the
University of Maryland's Joint Quantum Institute, created a short-lived
"proof of concept" of perpetual motion. Using an exotic type of matter known
as a Bose Einstein condensate, or BEC, the team demonstrated true perpetual
motion. Though the state persisted only ten seconds, team members say it
will one day lead to real-world applications.

The so-called "fifth state of matter," Bose Einstein condensates were
predicted as early as 1925, but it took 70 years to demonstrate them in a
laboratory setting. They form when matter is cooled to the point that the
atoms collapse to the lowest energy state, allowing quantum effects to
manifest on a macroscopic scale. BECs, also known as "superfluids," have a
number of strange properties, such as a total lack of any form of friction
and the ability to spontaneously flow out of an open container.

  Water Wars on Their Way

Water will be source of war unless world acts now, warns minister

By Ben Russell, Political Correspondent
Saturday, 22 March 2008

The world faces a future of "water wars", unless action is taken to
prevent international water shortages and sanitation issues escalating
into conflicts, according to Gareth Thomas, the International
Development minister.

The minister's warning came as a coalition of 27 international
charities marked World Water Day, by writing to Gordon Brown demanding
action to give fresh water to 1.1 billion people with poor supplies.
"If we do not act, the reality is that water supplies may become the
subject of international conflict in the years ahead," said Mr Thomas.
"We need to invest now to prevent us having to pay that price in the
future."
