Re: What if there is good news?

A practical method for producing low cost , non-polluting energy has
been possible since we first ventured into space. A geostationry orbit
solar furnace could capture enough solar energy to supply all of our
energy needs. If the energy were beamed to an artificial ocean island
it could convert seawater into hydrogen. If the pure water generated by
using the hydrogen as fuel were used to irrigate the deserts we could
reverse global warming (plants eat carbon).

The idea is free to everyone and has been since 1963. Two islands are
now being planned, one island at 140W and 0 and my island near the
Amazon delta. At first we intend to use island based solar furnaces
until we can afford to build one in space. Join us or build your own
and compete with us, it is all the same to me.

Remember the topic is what do we do with wind-generated power in
excess of what the grid can handle at the moment.
I think electrolyzing and compressing hydrogen and oxygen would be a good
use for energy which would otherwise go to waste.

Now how many electric-hog industries would you likely to find
near a windpower installation?
I doubt anyone's going to be building an aluminum smelter or copper mill
anywhere near the East Coast unless the USA goes Fascist or Communist.

What about battery banks to hold the surplus power?

As we stand now for conventional electricity production, with the
exception of hydro power the processes we use to turn coal, fissionables
and oil into electricity are extremely wasteful not to mention grid
losses as well as having a lot of pollution baggage.

You didn't miss much. It's the usual, "16th amendment is unconstitutional,
income tax is not really required to be paid..." sort of anti-tax
propaganda. If you really want ot read this sort of thing, just surf around
any of the tax newsgroups.

Has no place in sci.energy news groups.

  self-field theory

Author: tony fleming

Hi Group

See www.unifiedphysics.com and check out all the various pages. The
mathematics goes 'beyond quantum', and is based on self-field theory (a
la Abraham and Lorentz 1903-1904). The primary paper has been
published in physics essays 2005 vol 3. This paper uses a modified
form of EM theory based on electric and magnetic fields that are
measured between centres of motion rather than between charge points.
It solves the Maxwell-Lorentz equations for the hydrogen atom as an
eigenvalue problem rather than an infinite termed quantum field
problem. This method gives analytic solutions and leads to many new
insights: no new physics, only a clearer method for solving atomic
structures.

There are many other applications including a mathematical procedure
for solving nuclear regions; this method is similar to the solving of
the Maxwell-Lorentz equations for the EM regions but uses modified
maxwellian equations for use in other fields. A picture of the gluon
emerges. We can explore how hydrogen fusion might be able to be
achieved using EM and sonar power combined.

Amazing, I'm myself working on a proof for the Equitorial White Line.

I gave up watching. At 55 kB/s it was stopping for a buffer fill every
few seconds. Perhaps I have wrong settings? jack

What does "activated" mean in this context? jack
