So...what's coming out next?

Where's those virtual reality goggles? I seem to be getting bigger and
bigger computer monitors.
It's about >$1000 for a 30" computer monitor. I guess there's no head
gear (visor/goggles) around that price..

Years ago I had a dynamo powered flashlight that fit in the palm of my
hand. It worked by grasping the flashlight and that spun the dynamo.
How about that with LED's instead. No batteries needed.

Just some ideas...

Why would you think that anyone on USENET would be interested in your

Anyone have a schematic for a Direct Torque Control circuit

Author: Robb.Greathouse

Hi,

I need a speed control for an AC motor 40hp. I would like to build a
Direct Torque Control. Does anyone know where I might find a detailed
schematic for building one? Or find a smaller one that I could scale
up?

thanks,

Robb,

  Power Plug Adapter

Any suggestions as to where one can an adapter to go from a Y shape
male plug to a standard U.S. electrical outlet. The plug looks like a
smaller version of the type of plugs you find on dryers. It is
definitely not T shaped. A google search for power plug adapter turns
up several hits for universal power plug adapters which are designed
to work with T shaped plugs but none for Y shaped. If I can't find
one I will replace the Y shaped power plug with a standard U.S. power
plug. A step down transformer is not needed as the equipment is
designed to work from either 120 volt or 240 volt power.

Ground pour removal around Ethernet & USB traces

Author: Joel Koltner

Anyone know why Asus removed their (not really needed, IMO, and sometimes much
more of a hassle than it's worth) ground pour around their Ethernet and USB
connectors as shown here
-->
http://wiki.openwrt.org/OpenWrtDocs/Hardware/Asus/WL500GP/IMG_0007 ? Is it
possibly a UL/CE "safety" thing in that, at least for Ethernet, there could be
a largish common mode voltage kicking around?

  RANT: Differential pairs

Why the EFF are there no standards on where the Ps and the Ns are on
different chips? I am FED UP of chip X sourcing P and N and chip Y
expecting N and P.

Also, Altera, could you stop putting diff pairs on different angles ?
A vertical diff pair next to a few horizontal ones is a nightmare to
route cleanly.

OFF TOPIC:Censorship By Google Groups Of My Post About Gordon Sauck Being A Police Agent

Author: Greg Carr

It has come to my attention that my original post Mr Gordon Sauck
Replies To Me By Email And Admits To Being A Police Agent has
disappeared from Google Groups.

But is archived here and other places on the web
http://www.slashlegal.com/showthread.php?t=152681

and

Regular readers of my posts know that HAMC can censor Google Groups
from time to time and since they can intimidate the courts, cops and
judiciary from time to time as well as the media and/or bribe them
and/or confuse them a major corporation isn't much of a stretch. Heck
the Mafia once extorted money from a NYSE listed company in fact two
of them from the top 500. I will try to get Google Groups to re-list
it. They should be ashamed of themselves.
