I notice that "libertarians" always have fantasies about tiny
countries where "everyone is free". I was talking to one loon who was
obsessed with mediaeval Iceland! I pointed out that almost no one
lived there, at the time, but he didn't care.

You are in a fantasy-land. But, that's about to change. Reality has
a habit of catching up with us, after a while.

Capitalism is a desire to accumulate Capital. Where do you think the
word comes from? That is the same as Greed. A Capitalist is Greed-
driven, insofar as he/she is a Capitalist. It's really not very
complex. Bill Gates is a Capitalist. Warren Buffet is a Capitalist.
Richard Cheney is a Capitalist.

You can earn a living, without being a Capitalist, if you aren't
really that interested in money
-- Capital -- as an end in itself. If
you only see money as a means of helping people, enjoying yourself, or
pursuing activities and ideas of interest, you probably aren't a
Capitalist.

I disagree about Capitalist begin greed-driven.
I don't see getting a return on capital as greed-driven.
If some laborer wants to use my capital without compensating
me then that laborer is greedy. I've worked hard for what
I have and I've done my best to make sure my transactions
are fair for all parties (to my own detriment). Damn the
greedy people who see the results of my hard work and call
me greedy.

A hammer isn't Capital. A hammer is just a tool. It can be provided
free of charge. Money need not be involved. If you want to work hard
to make money to help your family, or have a nice house, that doesn't
make you a Capitalist. Capitalism IS Greed, insofar as it is
Capitalism. If you aren't interested in making money as an end in
iself, then you aren't Greedy, and you aren't a Capitalist. If you
think Capitalism is simply any productive activity, then you have
simply been brainwashed by pro-Capitalist propaganda into thinking
nothing can be done without money, and that Capitalism is all good.
It isn't. It's just greed. Productive people needn't be Capitalists.

You should learn some economics.

Tools are capital goods.
> It can be provided free of charge.

No they cannot. They are manufactured. Manufacturing
involves labor. Do you hold that labor should be provided
free of charge? That goes beyond voluntarism and to
obligation.
