For the past two or three days I've been finding some
6-10 pages of crapware here in sci.crypt. Apparently.
I found that if I killed it out, it would come back
until it again filled those pages. This raises a
question. Is perhaps the software that brings this
rubbish in, *in my machine*? Seeing as it seems to
know so immediately what I'm doing? ??

Today, it seems to have stopped.

I'm using 1) Microsoft's XP firewall (for what that's
worth); 2) Spybot S&D; 3) Grisoft AVG Free (which
quite remarkably d/l's several tens of Kb *daily* and
I wonder which way that d/l is *really running* ??

I'm trying to use RSA algorithm in .NET. My needs are somehow the
inverse of the normal usage. I want to distribute the private key (so
other can decrypt) and keep private the public key (so only me can
encrypt).
First of all is this secure?
The second question has to do with the way the RSA provider is
implemented in .NET. It has 8 parameters and my understanding is as
follow:
Modulus - needed for encryption and decryption
Exponent - needed for encryption
P - internal to algorithm
Q - internal to algorithm
DP - internal to algorithm - calculated
DQ - internal to algorithm calculated
InverseQ - internal to algorithm - calculated
D - needed for decryption
What I want to do is to keep E private and distribute D. Is it
possible that by having D the users can calculate E?
From my understanding that's not possible, however the RSA provider
gives an error if the Exponent is not provided when ...

Actual I’m studying the Different Cryptanalysis with Bihams and
Shamirs document "Different Cryptanalysis of DES-like cryptosystems",
but there's something I can’t understand yet: how to calculate the
amount of good pairs needed to found the round key. I know that there
is a relation between that amount and the signal to noise rate, but I
don’t know how to determine that relationship.

And here comes my second question: how can I calculate the signal to
noise rate? I found a formula where the S/N depend on the “probability
of the differential characteristic”, “the number of key bit that we
count on” and “the level of identification of wrong pairs that can be
discarded before the counting”. I know the probability of the
