Manti aren't exactly known to be in my hood (Evergreen Park, IL) and
5? years back I got some egg cases and would propagate them in doors
starting in late September and until the males died off. It was fun
for a few years, but after figuring out the costs of buying crickets
to feed the blasted things I just gave up and decided if they made it
on their own before frost (usually mid October) so be it. Each year
there seems to be one viable egg case, may be more but I usually see
under ten of them throughout the year. Anyway, I have seen just 1
male and up to 7 females (I know one female has already eaten another
female) in the last few weeks, so they guy has his work cut out for
him :0) He already mated once, saw her today and now he hooked up
with one I introduced to him when I set them up today LOL.

We shall see if she(or the other) can produce a viable oothica before
frost.

Does a male ever run out of sperm? I am going to try and hook him up
with at least 2 other females, assuming one doesn't get him first.
