Big grub dug up in wood-chip pile - SW Chicago area

I dig up june beetle grubs now and then in tot lots wood chip piles
(while metal detecting) but this guy is a whopper LOL. Blew it and
didn't put a normal june beetle grub in the same shot. I buried the
guy in a few hand fulls of woodchips I took from the tot lot. Is
there any way of finding out what kind of beetle it will hatch into???

First, I have to work on my memory problem. Posted another pic of the
same type of grub before *oops*

Browsing the web, I'm guessing it is a giant stag beetle larvae.
