There's an *incredible* larval photo from southern Veracruz posted on
the following LepSoc link.
Mike Quinn, Austin
----------------------------------------
This striking photo was provided by Manuel Grosselet and Georgita
Ruiz. The caterpillar was found within an ecological recovery terrain,
inside an oil refinery complex in Southern Mexico: Refineria de Santa
Alejandrina, Minatitlan, Veracruz. Various lepidopterists have
identified it as a Dalcerid, related to Limacodid. Any more specific
identification?

It's definitely not a typical pale swallowtail. However, it's
anyone's guess whether it's a hybrid or just an aberrant specimen.
Unless you have lab created hybrids to compare with, it's hard to
guess the wing pattern you'd expect in a particular cross.
Cheers,
Xi

Perhaps its time to break off a leg and have it bar-coded.
